If one great fireworks show is good, two is even better! That's the thinking over at the Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Committee which has arranged for two fireworks displays on July 3 and 4 in Hagan Park.

Fireworks are the icing on the cake of any Fourth of July celebration, and that applies to the "Land of Liberty."
That's because the fireworks are the finales for entertainment:  On July 3, it’s a blast from the past as Rancho Cordova Fourth of July brings you “Pablo Cruise” in a free concert on the Hagan Park fields followed by a short fireworks show.

But because when it comes to fireworks, once is never enough, plan to return to Hagan Park on Saturday, July 4.
That’s when, Bay Area favorite "Double Funk Crunch" plays all the favorites before the skies really light up with the Rancho Cordova Fireworks Spectacular.

The July 4th Fireworks Spectacular is presented with the help of the City of Rancho Cordova, as a Fourth of July gift to the citizens.

Admission to both the concerts and fireworks are free of charge.

Kaboom! July 4th fireworks
plus a concert grand finale
Where are some of the best places to watch the fireworks?

Great viewing is part of the Concert Stage venue.  Spread out a blanket and enjoy the shows - both on stage and in the sky. The Concert Stage Beer Garden also affords an excellent view.

Fireworks viewing is great at the east end of Hagan Park, including on wide-open Glass Field, and areas around the Hagan Park ponds.

On the west side of Hagan Park, there are open spaces on the soccer fields, open areas at the carnival, even up on the fields at Mills Middle School. Check out our map for the fireworks icons marking some of the best places from which to catch the action.

With the fireworks shows keeping festival-goers in Hagan Park later into the evening, vendors will stay open to serve up late night snacks and the carnival will operate until 11 p.m.

On July 4, wait for the crowds to clear and linger at the Cordova High School Alumni Beer Garden or take a ride on the ferris wheel.

The Fourth of July fireworks moved to Hagan Park in recent years to provide a safer and more comfortable sky show, while exposing more people to all the events happening inside the park.  It was a hit, and a new tradition was born.

Here's an important tip:  Don't wait until the last minute to head to the fireworks - you just might miss them.

Each year, late-comers try to find a parking spot minutes before the fireworks are slated to begin and that makes for a traffic jam.  This year, the fireworks start as soon as darkness falls - about 9:45 p.m. - ready or not!

Parking will be available in the Cordova High School lots and Mills Middle School lots.
Fireworks-lovers can also take the RT Shuttle from Mather Field/Mills Light Rail Station or ride their bikes.  Admission to the shows is free, but parking is $10.
Finally, leave the fireworks to the pros.  No personal fireworks allowed at the Rancho Cordova Fourth of July.  Thank you!
But because once is never enough, we'll shoot off a few more rockets to top off Felix Cavaliere's Rascals concert on July 5.  It's one of the 101 Things to Do on Picnic Day!

Admission to both the concerts and fireworks are free of charge.
Please leave the fireworks to the pros.

No personal fireworks allowed at the Rancho Cordova Fourth of July.  Thank you!
